Shopify bundle discount tiers, applied at checkout
A Shopify bundle discount in Elite Bundle Builder is a set of tiers the shopper reaches by adding items or spend, applied at checkout by a Shopify Function. There is no discount code, nothing for the shopper to type, and nothing for you to stack or exclude by hand. This page shows what you can set and what the shopper sees.

What you can set
Two choices define a discount for a build your own bundle.
The trigger. Tiers are reached at a number of items, or at an order total. Item count suits products at similar prices (snacks, socks, samples). Order total suits mixed-price catalogs where you want to reward spend, not count.
The calculation. Each tier is one of:

Add one tier per threshold, usually two to four. Removing the last tier switches the discount off.

This shape works for snack boxes, sample packs, beauty routines and mix-and-match sets, where the aim is to nudge the shopper from three to five.

Use this when products vary in price and a count would let a shopper hit the top tier with the cheapest items.
How the discount is applied
At checkout, a Shopify Function reads the bundle's tiers and applies the best matching one to the bundle line. If no tier is reached, no bundle discount is applied. The shopper never sees a code field they need to fill.
Removing the discount is one action too: delete the tiers, save, and the function stops applying it.
What the shopper sees before checkout
The discount display is set per bundle in Design and comes in three styles.
- Progress bar. "Add 2 more items to get 10% off", filling as they add.
- Segmented. One segment per tier, lit as each is reached.
- Box. A hard bundle size ("Pick 6 for $40"), for quantity tiers only.
The bundle cart can also show a savings line. Optionally, lock every add button once the top quantity tier is reached, so there is nothing left to chase and the shopper moves to checkout.

Discounts for multi-option bundles
A multi-option bundle is a fixed set, so there is no ladder to climb. Its Offer tab has one switch and one value: a percentage off or a fixed amount off the bundle total, applied at checkout whenever the bundle is added. No tiers, no trigger, no minimum.
Testing before launch
- Keep the bundle unlisted.
- Pick enough items to reach the first tier and add the bundle to the cart.
- Go to checkout and confirm the discount line is there.
- Repeat for the top tier, then for a cart that does not qualify.
If a discount does not show, check that tiers are configured, that the bundle was added from the bundle page rather than as loose products, and that the settings page does not report a discount service issue. The troubleshooting guide lists the fixes.
Frequently asked questions
Do shoppers need a code?
No. The discount is automatic at checkout through Shopify Functions.
Can I set a fixed price for the whole bundle?
Yes. Choose the fixed bundle price calculation and the bundle costs that amount once the tier is reached.
Does it work with volume discounts on single products?
Volume breaks are not a feature of the app. The bundle discount applies to the bundle line only. The FAQ covers other discount questions.
